Psychotherapy for Adults
Support and Guidance to Feel Your Best
People seek therapy for a variety of reasons. Some individuals desire more self-knowledge or support during times of transition. Others want to feel more satisfied or less anxious and depressed. Sometimes it's a significant stressor or crisis that prompts a person to seek assistance. Whatever your circumstances, therapy is a safe space for you to be yourself and work towards your goals.
I work with clients to help them identify and modify problematic patterns in their thinking and interacting with the world. Together we pinpoint areas of strength and areas that may benefit from some tweaking and skill development. During sessions we will process challenges and practice skills together. We will also work together to explore ways to promote new behaviors and skills outside of the therapy room. I find that it is often small changes and modifications that lead to the long term growth and goal attainment clients' desire.
I utilize empirically supported treatments, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), to treat a host of common difficulties. Conditions I commonly treat include, anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, bipolar disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, and adjustment disorders.
I treat college-aged adults and young professionals navigating their 20s and 30s.
At Flourish Psychology and Wellness my aim is to provide clients with an environment that fosters feelings of safety, respect, and support.
