Meet Dr. Amanda Thalji-Raitano

Licensed Psychologist, PY9857

Hello! My name is Dr. Amanda Thalji-Raitano. Helping individuals and families is a passion of mine. I am a Licensed Psychologist with more than a decade of experience helping children, teens, and adults. I have worked in a variety of settings, including private practice, diverse PK-12 school settings, and a federal residential training program. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Florida. I later completed my graduate studies at the University of South Florida where I was awarded my Doctorate in School Psychology with a specialization in mental health.

It is an honor to walk hand in hand with individuals and families during some of life's most demanding times. As a psychologist, I am a partner, mentor, and advocate for my clients. I tailor services to assist individuals and families to meet their specific goals. I am deeply committed to helping each of my clients unhook from difficult thoughts, change unhelpful behaviors, and find satisfaction in life,

My priority is to provide clients and families with a supportive and nurturing space where they can feel heard and accepted for who they are, so they can begin the work of who they want to become. I provide research-backed tools, compassionate support, and accountability to help you reach your goals. I have experience helping children, teens, and adults with diverse issues, including, anxiety disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorder, depressed mood and bipolar disorder,  post-traumatic stress disorder, self-harm behaviors, grief, and difficulty coping with life transitions. My clinical expertise also includes conducting comprehensive evaluations for youth as well as adults. I have provided psychological assessment for individuals with learning disabilities, ADHD, autism, and  emotional and behavioral difficulties, as well as for gifted learners.

My treatment approach is flexible, but grounded in techniques that are effective and supported by research. I primarily utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. I am a EMDRIA Approved Eye Movement and Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapist and utilize EMDR to help individuals overcome difficult traumas and experiences.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me a bit more. I look forward to the opportunity to learn about your experiences.
